Performative book Readings

Cultivate a passion for books in children with our performative book reading workshop.
What we are providing
Our performative book reading workshops bring books to life for young children with an interactive reading of the chosen book, crafts and activities that engage and excite the imagination.
The characters of the book are brought to life with a puppet-making craft activity followed by an interactive reading of the book that will require the children to use their puppets. The session will also include other related activities such as planting seeds, making musical instruments, and creating their own story. The session ends with a song and a relaxation exercise.

The Little Blue Planet Needs You by Frances Bella - An environmental book aimed at young children, it presents environmental issues in a palatable and accessible way for the target age group.
The Three Little Pigs - The moral of this fairy tale classic is that planning and hard work pay off. In the version, we use it also demonstrates kindness as the last pig allows her brothers to shelter in safety in her brick house.
The Gingerbread Man - This classic tale focuses on the misadventures of a Gingerbread Man and the lesson that it is important to make wise choses and to be careful who you trust.
Workshop Details
Max Participants - 30 children (one class)
Location - School hall or large open space
Length of workshop - 1 hour
The facilitator would need access to the space 30 minutes before the workshop.

Cost for the 1hr Workshop £150
With Makaton 1hr Workshop £250
Makaton can only be offered when two or more hour sessions are booked at any one time.
